Foraged cherry plums!
My girls spotted these cherry plums on the side of the road. We so enjoyed picking them in the rain, bringing them home to show my partner our luck, cooking them while listening to the thunder and serving them with mascarpone cream.....
Cherry Plum Compote: Cherry plums Honey Cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon
Cut plums in half and place in a pot along with honey and cinnamon. Stew until tender.
Mascarpone Cream: Mascarpone cheese Honey or maple syrup Vanilla
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, taste and adjust for sweetness. Serve on top of plums or other Spring fruit.
